What's inside

Everything you need to get through tonight

Six tools for the hardest moments of a breakup — the urge to reach out, the 2am spiral, the empty feeling of day one.

No-contact streak

Every hour without them, counted. A living tracker that turns each day you stay strong into visible momentum.

Panic button

One tap when you're about to text them. Exhale walks you through the urge and out the other side — it always passes.

Unsent letters

Say everything. Send nothing. Write to them in a private space that never actually sends a thing.

A coach at 2am

An AI coach built for breakup recovery — calm, judgment-free, and awake whenever the spiral hits hardest.

Guided breathing

4-7-8 breathing to bring the panic down and calm the urge in about a minute, wherever you are.

Healing milestones

Watch yourself heal, day by day — from the first night, through the fog lifting, all the way to ninety days.

Why it works

No contact, one urge at a time

The urge to reach out feels permanent. It isn't. Exhale is built around a simple, proven idea: an urge peaks and fades in minutes — you only have to outlast the peak.

01

Start your streak

Set day zero and watch every hour of no contact add up. Progress you can see makes the next hour easier.

02

Ride out the urge

When you want to text them, hit panic. Breathe, write the unsent message, talk to the coach — then let it pass.

03

Come back to yourself

Day by day the fog lifts. The mornings get quieter. You stop checking your phone for them — and you get you back.

Help & support

We're here if you need us

Answers to the most common questions — and a real person on the other end of the email.

How much does Exhale cost?
Exhale is free to download and start. Full access is an auto-renewing subscription — a yearly plan (with a 3-day free trial where offered) or a weekly plan. You'll see the exact price before you ever confirm anything, and nothing is charged during the free trial.
How does the free trial work — and how do I cancel?
If you start the 3-day free trial and cancel before it ends, you won't be charged. To cancel, it's all handled in your Apple account:
  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Select Exhale, then tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or period ends to avoid the next charge.
I already subscribed — how do I restore it on a new phone?
Open Exhale, go to Settings → Restore purchases (it's also on the subscription screen). As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with, your access comes right back.
Is my data private? Can I delete it?
Yes. Your streak, journal entries, unsent messages, and onboarding answers are stored only on your device — we never upload or keep a copy. You can erase everything anytime via Settings → Reset all data, or by deleting the app. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
What is the AI coach, exactly?
It's an automated coach built for breakup recovery — warm, brief, and available any time. Your messages are processed securely to generate a reply and aren't stored by us. It's a supportive tool, not a therapist or a substitute for professional care.
Which devices does Exhale support?
Exhale is currently available on iPhone, running iOS 15.1 or later.
